Deep, Dark, Depression

Hey! Ever have one of those nights where, no matter HOW much you love blogging, and I DO!!!, you just can’t get in the groove and write??

Yeah, me neither, ha ha silly question.

Alright, I’m gonna be real here.  Tonight, Sunday, is one of those nights.

I just do not have it in me right now to be funny and entertaining.

So, enjoy this still from the play, “Funny Girl.”

I’m sorry.  I feel like I’m letting y’all down, but I promised honesty about my slobbery, and depression is part of my mental, and emotional slobbery.

Oh how I long for the day when my home is clean and organized , and my interior spaces in my head are all calm, and organized!!!

That will be the day!   I’ll probably have to start a new blog.  “How to Handle Life as an Ex-Slob.”  And it will be blank posts.   Bwahahaha, okay, I think that was funny.

Thanks for hanging in there with me, my peeps.  I love you all.

  1. I can relate, my friend. In fact, I’m relating right now. The ironic thing is that as much as depression prevents me from writing, writing keeps me from sinking too much into my depression. I’m gad you wrote a little something to let us know how you are doing. Hugs 🙂

  2. Melinda, there are so many things I love about this post! First of all, YES – that was funny! You are so right-on-the-money with the fact that- whether you call it slobbery or disorganization, it understandably affects your mind (physical clutter can create mind clutter after all). I think you are doing all of the right things. You are making progress and, so long as you keep your organizing goals top of mind as you go through your day, with everything you do (without overwhelming yourself), you WILL BE ORGANIZED. It looks like you’ve got a great group of supporters here and you should never be ashamed of putting it all out there- it will help you grow and help hold you accountable in reaching your goals. Definitely start that “ex-slob” blog when you have met your goals! I highly doubt there will be blank posts! 🙂

  3. Hope you’re feeling better now. Not sure what the weather’s like where you are, but here in the UK we’ve had the darkest November and December on record – and, unsurprisingly, a lot of people are depressed as a result. When there’s no sunshine outside, I try to visualise sunshine inside, if that makes any sense. 🙂

  4. Hi Melinda. I’m only just getting back to blogging (very slowly…) but wanted to drop by to see how you are and came to this post. I know depression, brain fog and mental exhaustion are both something I battle with every day. I can only say I hope you are feeling a little better and I’m thinking of you…and sending a prayer wrapped in a great big hug… xoxo

    • Thank you so much, Sherry! It really amazes me, how many of us struggle! I am doing better, thanks! Sunshine helps so much. How do you make it in gloomy England??
Thanks so much for the prayer, and hug! I can always use more of both!
      Love, Melinda
