Sweet friend again

I hope you’re not tired of hearing about Sweet Friend.  IF you are, then okay, you’re dismissed, see ya tomorrow.  He really, truly is a great friend.   Last week,  I missed my night time medicine.   I took a nap, and when I woke up, I was disoriented, and didn’t know what time it was.  I also couldn’t remember if I had taken my medicine or not.   So, I didn’t take it, because doubling up would have been worse than missing.    So, when my headache arrived on schedule the next day, I remembered, “Oh, yeah, I forgot to take my medicine.”   When I mentioned it to SF, he said (very logically) “You should have one of those weekly pill reminder boxes.”   Yes, I know, but I broke mine.

So what did I spy with my little eyes, this morning when I went into the kitchen??   This:

daily pill reminder box

It’s not purple, but I forgive him!

He’s so considerate!!   (Also, he just wants to make really sure I take my meds- it’s not a pretty sight when I run out.)

Also, he delivered some salads, in the fridge.   (OF which I have no pix, of course, because I ate ’em!!)

So nice to have my own personal delivery person!!    He even takes special orders sometimes!   (IF he’s in the mood.   I don’t hold my breath.)

Okay, I can hear some of you thinking, “If she was in bed asleep, HOW did he get in to deliver stuff????”   (No, don’t bother denying it, your brain was whirring so fast, I could hear it all the way over here.)  He is spare key worthy.   If, God forbid, I fall in the shower again, I could be there for days, since I live alone.   Hopefully someone would miss me soon!  And he could come check on me.   (But, I guarantee you, he WOULDN”T try to come into the bathroom!   He would stand in the hall and holler for me.

I highly recommend everyone getting a Sweet Friend.  You’ll be glad you did!

  1. Can I borrow yours? I sure need one of my own, but don’t know anyone here I would trust with my key. It sure would have been good to have someone to care enough to check on me while I was paralyzed for a few days and unable to even move my hand to call for help.

  2. Aww that really is a sweet friend.
I understand, Melinda. I figure they’d find me when the smell of decomp started to bother the neighbors… o_O
Have a sublime Sunday tomorrow. Expecting snow again here, but it should warm up so that it doesn’t hang around too long. Mega hugs!

  4. Awwww…he sounds wonderful! I currently live with just my two daughters and don’t intend to ever share a roof with another man (I know, never say never…but whatever). My sweet friends are my neighbors, and I like that they have a key to my house…you know…for just in case 🙂

  16. What a truly Sweet Friend he is! And now you have no excuse not to take your pills. So take ’em. I don’t have a friend with a key because Mr. C is always here and Pete checks in every day but I know a couple of folks who are definitely key worthy.
