Willow Waits

Well, here we are back again, with the 3rd installment of Willow Wonders.   You witnessed part 2, here.

Today we finish up the final wonders, while Willow waits, breathlessly, I’m sure!   Well, I doubt this is the final question Willow will ever wonder, but MY final answers to what Willow wonders, anyway!

Is there a historical culture that fascinates you?

The prairie, and Conestoga wagons, era.   Oh wait, that’s not a culture, it’s a time period.   The Biblical Old Testament Jewish culture, what did it feel like to live when Jesus was alive??  Can you imagine how exciting and wonderful it was to actually see the Messiah???

What — if any — historical injustice still upsets you?

The Holocaust, big time.   And when women were not educated, or taught to read.    What if I had lived then???   Not being able to read would have killed me!

{I have a question of my own right here.   When I copy, and try to paste, why does a whole nother menu pop up instead???    That aggravates me!!!   And wastes time!!!}

Are there habits other people have that you find suspicious?

Having to look at your phone before you answer a question.

What do you think is a good place to travel but you would not want to live there?

Any place, except Central Florida!!

Is there a scary scene from a movie (or book) you viewed a child that still haunts you?

I was strictly censored as a child, but if I did see a scary movie, it is probably the cause of all my nightmares!   I still have them, even now.   But, I can’t think of one in particular.

What is the cheapest price you can ever remember paying for gas?

Ummm, my memory for math, isn’t really great, but I know it was a dollar and something.

How far south have you traveled?

To Key West, and the Bahamas.   I don’t know which one is the furtherest south.   (And I don’t care enough to look it up.   Sorry!)

When did you realize you’d become an adult?

I’ll certainly let you know when that happens!   I’m already 55, so not holding out much hope for it ever happening!

What jokes did your grandparents tell you as a child that you remember fondly?

None of my grandparents told many jokes.   But one of my uncles always “Took off” his thumb!   And he’s still doing it, for my grand baby!!

Is there a piece of technology that you do not own but would like to?

Rosie the Robot from the Jetsons.

Do you have any secrets for getting better service?

Smile, say thank you ten million times, and learn their names immediately!

What slang word or phrase do you love to use?

Hmm, that one stumps me.

What technology, real or imagined, scares you?

Like Momma said, cloning!   And the gene splicing of growing human parts in animals.

Is there a traditional gender role or stereotype that you agree or disagree with?

That women belong in the kitchen.   I don’t mind the pregnant, and barefoot part, just the cooking part!

What type of commercials to you find particularly annoying?

Ones for fat women clothes that use stick thin models.   We’re fat!   And we’re paying you!!   We should not be humiliated that way!!!

What was the first thing you learned to cook?

I think it was grits and eggs.   I’m a Southerner after all!

What’s the highest above sea level you’ve ever been? How did you get there?

What ever elevation planes fly at.   Here in Florida, I’ve been to Bok Tower, the highest point in Fl!

slob, humor, Bok Tower

Is there something that you do now, but wouldn’t do if it weren’t for the law (for example carry car insurance or wear your seat belt).

Wear clothes at all.   JK!!

Have you ever tried to touch the moon?

Nope, too busy looking at it!   I love the full moon!   I could look at it for hours!   (IF I’m sitting down!   I have been known to almost fall over, for looking up too long, while standing!)

When you have out of town guests, what tourist things do you show them?

Thankfully I haven’t had to deal with that in over 20 years!

Where is the strangest place you have fallen asleep?

In the bathtub.

Would you be willing to live off the grid? (follow link for definition)

Uh, nope!   I have to have my a/c!!    But, I would like to be my own boss, without the government telling me every step to take.    So, yes, if I could have a/c.

If someone paid you enough money, would you provide them a false alibi?

NO!

Would you volunteer to be one of the first colonists on Mars?

Oh, absolutely NOT!!    As scared as I am of airplanes, I can’t imagine how many Xanax I’d have to take to actually board a rocket ship!!   I’d have to be knocked out, like Mr. T!!

So, that’s it.   Next time Willow wonders, I’m gonna ask her to wait, and keep it to herself!    JK!!

  2. Melinda, you have such fun answers and you had me laughing out loud!
We both love the full moon. I got scared of demons and children who are “evil” in The Omen and The Exorcist. I love your sense of humor! 😀
