Seven Seconds Scullery Sunder- today’s adventure
Sunder means to cut in half. Unlike the red ribbon, (which I used as a temporary baby lock)
I didn’t really cut my clutter in half, but I did end up donating a brown paper grocery bag, and 2 boxes of stuff, from today, and Scullery Scape!! Yay!
If we remove the “S”, then we have under. Which is exactly where we’re de-cluttering today: under the microwave.
By Dana’s visibility rule, (and common sense!) I need to be tackling this:
Dining Disaster Table, that is.
But I can’t! I get paralyzed by the very sight of that huge mess! It’s all good craft stuff!! I need to keep it for PP, but where does it go?? IDK!! How do I organize it all?? IDK!! How much of it IS good stuff, and how much should I really throw away?? IDK!! (In case you don’t know, IDK means “I don’t know.”)
My head starts hurting, then my brain seizes. So, I’m thinking I really need a buddy on this one! You know, hold my hand, whisper softly to me, calming my fears, and leading me gently thru the process. Who??? IDK!! Any volunteers??
So, are we ever gonna actually DO anything today, or what? IDK!! JK!! Yes, yes, we are. May I ask when?? Right now!
15 minutes. Ready, steady, go!
Plastic bags: I had forgotten they were there, because I put them under the sink. But, when I have help, I try not to complain!! Donated them to NLC Boutique. Shopping bags went into Vanronica, in the vain hope that I’ll remember them next time I’m at the store.
Can you believe that I actually noticed the dirty door?? And THEN, I cleaned it!! So proud of myself! My slob vision musta been cleared up, by the low altitude!
Parchment paper, that I bought for Cookie Chaos, and never even opened! and Reynolds foil were in the white plastic thing, that was stuck on the door, with foam stickers. When it fell off, I just left it. And the opened, but never used, Green bags.
And the blue snack pack. (That I got for a penny!!! Thanks, Sis!!) All gone now, except for the foil, that went up into the cabinet where I would actually look for it, when I need it! !!
Paper Towels that I had forgotten I had, since I was keeping them above the fridge.
See? Apparently that wasn’t a good place, so I hunted up a place both XH, and I can agree on! The pantry closet at the end of the hall seemed likely.
And apparently that was the best place, since I already had a 3 pk there. Oy!! Well, at least the whole paper towel family is reunited at last! Until we use up the one on the dispenser……
Back to the shelves…
Okay, so we’re making a little progress here. Another cord????? Off ya go! Banished to the cord drawer! I’m beginning to feel like a cord store!
I could never find a pot/lid combo to match, when I was in a hurry. And Dana suggests storing tops with things, so I did.
There! Much better! Except that little pot is taking up that whole sliding out shelf thingy. Hmmmm, let me think…..
There! Much better! Although, I do recall saying that before….. But this time I mean it! So, I wanted to also clear off the counter, which for some reason, didn’t seem to be the proper place for the big crock pot...
I tried it under there first. Wasn’t happy, due to having to turn it sideways, to squeeze it under there. Not easy with a heavy pot! Try, try again!

Perfect!
Then I decided, might as well banish the toaster too!! (Especially since if it wasn’t
there, I couldn’t confuse the cords!!)
Now, that’s just right!
One large brown bag to go, please! More stuff gone!! Woot woot!
Sometime in there, I had restarted the timer.
So Scullery time today: 22 min
Total Scullery time so far: 3 hrs 2 min
Adding today, Total house time so far: 5 hr 13 min
Considering that I haven’t left the first space yet (liv rm/ kitchen/ din rm) , I don’t think I’m gonna make the 7 hour target. Sorry Ashley.
Good decluttering! Keep up the great work! I like the little worm that snuck into that paper bag too!

Thanks, Viv! The good thing is, it will always be there, when you get around to it! Oh, wait! That might be a bad thing!

Hi BBFFM,
I love your descriptions (“paralyzed…” ). If it’s any help, I don’t like cleaning either. However, I think the decluttering is a good idea. I could benefit from decluttering.

Hi BBF FJ, I’m glad you enjoy my writing. That’s a great compliment coming from you! Oh yes, decluttering is a great idea! It’s the actually doing that I can’t always face!
I saw a car tag today, that made me think of you.
B8FFJ. I couldn’t believe my eyes!

A car tag? That is nice you think of me off the blog. I think of you off the blog too. What did the car tag say?
