God’s Gift

My friend, Elizabeth, from the Comfortable Coop, also wrote a wonderful Resurrection Sunday post, just like Cami’s, that I re-blogged yesterday.

http://thecomfortablecoop.com/2017/04/14/my-easter-to-do-list/

It reminded me once again, to give first place to Jesus, my Savior, always!!       Resurrection Sunday, (Easter), is to celebrate His resurrection from the dead!!   He gave His life on the cross, for our salvation, just because He loves us!!      Praise the Lord forever!

God’s not dead, He is alive!!

slob, Jesus' empty tomb

Hosanna!

Helping Hope

One of my friends,  Liz Suits, is a Compassionate Entrepeneur for Trades of Hope.

slob, humor, Trades of Hope logo

They sponsor women around the world, and teach them trades.      Then, the women can support themselves, and their children, and save them from sex trafficking.       It’s a wonderful thing!!

Sis had a party, so of course, I had to get in on that action!!       LOOOOOVE parties!     Of any kind!

Here is my order:

Journal, and Lip balms.   slob, humor, Trades of Hope order

The Paisley Journal is made in India.         And the lip balms are made in Tennessee!

Slob, humor, journal from India, Trades of Hope                slob, humor, Trades of Hope lip balms                                            Both are packaged so prettily!      And I’m helping to save women in America!       And in India!

As a pro-lifer, I think it’s important to do something to save the women, and children, not only the babies!!        Saving babies is of utmost importance-    since abortion is murder!     But, we also have to be concerned about what happens to them, AFTER we save them!          So, I did my little part, and plan to purchase more in the future.

God loves every one, men, women, children, teens, babies, and older people.

EVERYONE!!

I challenge you if you can, please buy some stuff, to support life!      (I know they are a little pricey, but maybe you could give up a few treats??)

Oh wait, I almost forgot something:

slob, humor, Trades of Hope, lavender

How did they know?????

Trades of Hope- giving hope to families at home, and abroad.

Chosen Cheesecake

Yummmmm!!        Cheesecake!

SF made DD1 a cheesecake for her birthday.       And there wasn’t any for me, except 1 teeny, tiny, itsy, bitsy bite.

Like this:

slob, humor, world's tiniest bite of cheesecake    The worlds’ smallest bite of cheesecake.   Ever.

Did ya need a microscope to see it?      Yeah, it barely made a dent on my taste buds, either! But, at least she gave me a taste!        Thank you, DD1, for sharing!       Have I mentioned that I love SF’s yummy cheesecake??

And I might or might not, have complained to him, that I didn’t get any.      Except for above referenced teaser tidbit.       (I totally complained.     And whined.     Maybe even begged a little.      I’m shameless when it comes to good food.      And his cheesecake is VERY good!    Even dare I say, “Excellent”!!!!)

So, 2 weeks go by.

Then, tonight I came over to blog.     And I always check out the contents of his fridge.  Ya know, in case he hid a salad in there for me or something!

Tonight it was OR something!!

My very own, personal cheesecake!!
slob, humor, cheesecake!! All mine!                           slob, humor, cheesecake

SF does love me!!       I told you!!

(The fact that he made another one for DD1, and 2 for himself means nothing to me!)

I wasted no time getting that into my mouth!!

I’m in my own little world of gustatory delight right now!!

slob, humor, gustatory delight face

After some hours, (I refuse to say how many, or how few), the pan looked like this:

slob, humor, cheesecake all gone

All gone, gone.

Farewell sweet cheesecake.        You’ll always be here in my heart blog.

  • I’ve been caffeine free since 2006, when I was in the hospital, for a week with pneumonia.     They would only let me have Sprite or ginger ale.      At the time, I was heavily addicted to Coke.        (The DRINK!!!)          So, after the horrible headaches subsided, I decided might as well stay caffeine free.      And I have.
  • I threw myself a huge, hilarious 50th birthday party!      No one else would, so somebody had to do it!         (Maybe I need to blog about that??)

Ok, brief story of blog beginning.     Ay yi yi!     Brief is soooo hard for me!     (Oops!  There I’ve already wasted 7 words, nope, 15…nope….   Just stop counting already and move on!!)

I am was a life long slob.      I decided in 2014 to clean up my act.      I gathered inspiration from Dana @ A Slob Comes Clean,   slob, humor, Nony     and others, and started out.      SLOWLY, very slowly.     My First Day was just sweeping, and mopping the living room, and it left me out of breath, and sweating.

I gathered momentum as I went along, and here I am 2 and 1/2 years later, all clean!      (And if you believe that, I have a bridge to sell ya!)        I’ll undoubtedly be blogging about this subject till I’m old, and gray.      You’re already old, and gray!      Does that mean you’re done now??          Uh, nope, I’ll be blogging about this until I forget how to type!

Advice: Hmmmmm…
