Tiny Teal Table

Authoress51 was worried that I had run outta material.     No, just money!!     I have bought my own dot com, but can’t get it working yet.      And I’m out of storage here on the WP free plan…..     So, until I can get something worked out, I have to recycle.        This is a new post, because I had already loaded the one pic.     I had 3 more, that I wanted to add, but can’t.  😦       I hate publishing posts without pix!!       Thanks for the concern, Authoress!

 

 

Well, it definitely is tiny.        And certainly a table.      The teal part, eh, not so much.       But, it is blue!        Which teal is a kind of…..

When I lived in the trailer, PPJr , oops!   ChunkChunk, was in her high chair, and PP sat at the tiny, teal table, and the grown ups used TV trays.           Since CC has outgrown her high chair, she now sits at on a stool, at the dining room table, alongside PP.         S0 now we had no more use for the ttt.

DD1 decided it would make a great plant stand, and out to the porch it went.        That worked for awhile.    

Then, it was time for a switch up.       The plants went elsewhere, and the tiny teal table…..

Was left lonely, littered with leaves.       (And plant stakes.)

And DD1 decided it was no longer needed in our home, due to its poor condition!       The corners were the worse for wear, and the babies had decided it was too fluffy, and had been pulling the stuffing out, stealthily, for some time.

Pop was the pall bearer, for the disposal of the body.       Thanks, Pop.        He is so dignified and respectful.

PP’s Playroom

Well, it’s time to face the lion’s den: PP’s playroom.          I’m scared, Mommy!!        Hold me!

Nope, no sound, I forgot!  Sorry!      I will get better at this, I promise!!

You’re right, if you think not all of that is PP’s!!      A lot of the closet turned out to be mine, and DD1’s.

DD1’s memory box, and some clothes.

My purple suitcase.        But not empty, as DD thought!!           Surprise!!           Smart fabric stash!

Plus 2 books.

My Grandma book, to fill with info about me, for PP, and CC to read later!           And my small wedding album, from marrying Bobby.        My lost love, who’s in heaven.

And now, more room, for more fabric!!                    Don’t even think about it!!

Fold ’em up!

I knew I had more of those fabric squares!!        Found ’em finally!!        I couldn’t proceed with the twin’s quilts till I did!!

The big blue bag, was mixed clothes, girls’ and DD’s.

So since they’re never used, the toddler beds can go, as well as the pool.         They are both so tall, both couldn’t sit in there at one time!!        And I’m not gonna try to make them take turns for that!!

Not sure what we’re gonna do with her buttons, and marbles yet.        I know we’re keeping ALL her rocks!!         She’s been collecting those for 3 years now!

Probably won’t remember to take a video of her clean room, or a pic either.          Because by that time, we’ll be gone!             😉

I’m so thrilled that I finally learned how to youtube!!       Thanks, DD1!!         And Stella has been a tremendous help to me in the tech dept, as well.        Also, thanks to SF!             Without him, I wouldn’t even have a computer to work on!       (Which is now fixed, I just need to get a new connector thingy, so I can get back on the net.       ARGH!!)

#8- ‘Viro Video

Pre Preps

Pre preps for imminent, irritation Irma are on going this weekend.  I’m writing this on my phone Sunday night, as my desktop apparently decided it was time to desert this earthly travail.    Argh!!          (update:   Monday it came back to life, after I gave it mouth to USB port resuscitation!)

Talk about frustration!   How am I supposed to blog about hurricane preps on my tiny little phone keyboard??   Vewwy vewwy cawefully!!

Anyway, I took pix, and since I’m on my phone, they should be easier to insert.    Let’s hope!!

Water is always a first essential.    Got it covered.

Fresh water- yay!

Second essential is potty. Got that covered:

DD1 took babies out of state.  So I know they’re safe.   DD2 was already out of state, so all’s good there.

XH had to evac his mobile, so I demanded asked him over here.   After all, somebody’s got to piggyback my fat butt outta here if the flooding is too bad!   Plus he has a 4×4 truck!

(He certainly seems to be happy to be here, doing all the prep work, doesn’t he???)

PopPop is safe at his work.

Grandmama’s building IS a shelter.  So she’s all good.   She’s having a sleepover with friends, in the laundry room!

Sister’s house is Cat 4 rated, so her and kids are safe.   Bubba and Shirley have a sturdy block house, so they’re good.

Let’s see who did I forget??   Oh yeah, Rose was already overseas, so she’s good.   And neighbor Jeannette went to a safe place as well.

All’s well that ends well, for us.    God protected us!!  

Praying for the millions still without power, and that lost their homes.

And still praying for Texas, and Louisiana.

Thanks everybody for all the prayers for us!!

Purse Purging

(More info about Irma stuff, when I can get the pesky pix to load!!)

That time of year again; ye ole annual purging o’ the purse.        Since I have a fairly small one now, it could probably be bumped up to biannually, at least!

*Gasp!!* An orange purse??? PurpleSlob, are you sick??

I know, I know!     No one I know can believe I bought an orange one!!

Here’s the pix of this go round.          Start.

1 lonely earring.    That I’ve only worn once, cuz I hate intensely dislike the colors.   (Well, I brought them to coordinate with a shirt, that then I got rid of too, cuz I don’t like those colors.    DUH!)

How many purple pens do I need in my purse??  

1 lil, 2 lil, 3 lil pens!

Hint: probably not this many.         And I definitely don’t need the orange one!       No matter what color my purse is!

Receipts, mostly trash.     Except the one for rent, and the one with survey code for free Wendy’s sandwich!

Mostly useless receipts.

Some more VIT= very important trash.

DD1’s credit card, to get gas, in Vanronica.     Yeah, that was pretty much purged immediately, back into her hot little hand!         (DD’s, not Vanronicas’!)        But honey, it was orange, and I just couldn’t see it against the lining of my purse!

I had previously purged the useless, long, skinny strap:

Fanatic Fan

XH cleaned my ceiling fan with an Enviro.        (The ugly green one.   But it works.           I can’t always have a pretty purple cloth for everything.       Cleaning is a dirty job, but some color has to do it.)

Notice how he’s the one up on the ladder, not me?!          I can’t even stand up on my own 2 feet, NOT gonna attempt being up on a ladder!        Dirt is not worth a hip!!

Here’s a sampling of the dust. You’re welcome.

Doesn’t work the same, as a dust mitt!!          There’s a reason Norwex makes different cloths for different jobs!

DD1 had previously used a dust mitt, (not even standing on a ladder.)

And the Enviro does pick up the dust, but it pushed some off the end of the blade too.     The dust mitt didn’t!    

But DD1’s purpose had been to do a quick trial of the dust mitt.        XH was up there to really clean!!         (Yes, at my request.     What??       You think he just roams the neighborhood, asking people what he can clean for them??       Don’t they wish!)

(I took more pix, but am still having trouble getting them off this phone.      Urgh!             Hopefully I Sweet Friend can figure it out soon!       If he can’t, no body can!!)

Now, all I have to do is get the Envirowand out, and dust the light globes!          And maybe I’ll get it done before we move!       Lol          After all, our lease is up in May 2018, and y’all know how I am so bad with deadlines!!

Lucy’s Lingo

Well, I might as well make this an official “thing.”

Norwex Nixes

Since I now have the Norwex ,

My kitchen cloths.

(2 eggplant kitchen cloths, 1 eggplant kitchen towel, 1 pink Enviro, and 1 graphite Enviro),      oh!      I almost forgot the dish scrubby cloth!

I need to purge, and donate the other kitchen rags cloths I have.

 

5 of my dish rags. I know I have more somewhere!

6 of my dish towels. I know I have more somewhere! This doesn’t even include the 4 brand new microfiber ones!

5 dish rags, and 6 dish towels.     I know I have at least 2 more dish rags somewhere….     (Yep, went to the kitchen, for a peach drink, and found another one…)

I knew I had more!

WHAT??       How can that be??

Well, let me tell you!!

Norwex is microfiber, just like cheap ones, BUT so much better!

The University of Washington

“The term microfiber technically applies to fiber that is 1.0 denier or smaller. The
smaller the denier measurement, the finer and more effective the microfiber. Superior microfiber measures 0.13 denier.”

And Standard Fiber

tells us that “In terms of fills, in order to be considered a “microfiber” the fiber must be less than 1 denier, which is extremely fine. This gives the fill its airy weight, downy feel, and soft, silky texture. In comparison, a human hair is 20 denier, whereas Standard Fiber’s microfibers are typically 0.9 denier or less.”

Norwex is 1/200 of the width of a human hair.     That means it’s  __.1_ denier.      We are far superior to any other microfiber on the market!!

{I did that math all by myself!!    Well, after I did it the first time, it didn’t look right, so I redid it, and that time it was right!      Yes, DD1 checked my calculations!!  😉  }

So, since Norwex is such a finely textured thread, and woven so densely per inch, it picks up 99% of the bacteria, and germs on the surface!      And yes, we are Government certified to say that!!      And since it has BacLock, I can just use, rinse, wring, hang to dry, then reuse!        They only need washing once a week!!

Not only does Norwex nix the germs, it nixes all other cloths, and paper towels too!!

Can you say savings??!!

In case you can’t tell, I LOVE my Norwex!!

Rut Roh- Rotten

Rotten rotten refridge. Rut-roh!!        How did this happen??          

On first glance, very very quick first glance!         It looks like I eat wonderfully well.   After all, there’s fresh grapes, broccoli, and orange!

Apparently I’d gotten a hot tip on the upcoming sour cream shortage, and I meant to be prepared!

  No such thing as too much sour cream!!

But, the fridge was not working right.       We kept turning up the dial, but then later, it would be back down again.          PP, are you playing tricks on us????

It’s here, but that’s about all I can say for it!

And the freezer never had kept anything frozen, the whole time we’ve lived here.           It’s really embarrassing, the number of popsicles, and ice cream bars I had to throw away.          I couldn’t remember it wasn’t cold enough??           Really??  

But DD1 had her fridge, from her other house, so we were okay.      Just very annoying to have to go out to the laundry room for milk!!

(Which I thought I had a pic of, but apparently don’t.  sigh)

But, finally enough was enough, and DD1 asked PopPop, to change them out for us. Which he obligingly did.         (Thank you dolly, for saving his back!!        Not you, Dolly!) After they purged all the contents,  of course.     😦

Now DD1’s is in the kitchen, on the left, and the landlord’s is on the porch, on the right. (Wonder how long it will stay there before I remember to ask him to come get it???)

Shirley’s Sheets

Well, not really Shirley’s sheets, but Shirley took them.      And they’re not really sheets either, more like towels.      Well, one of them is an old, raggedy baby blankie.          But to a shelter dog, it’ll make their hard bed feel better, so we’re pretending they’re sheets.       Got it??      Good, let’s go.

Another towel??             Yep, this one was not included in the __31__ count, since I had forgotten it, till I saw this pic.

Shirley volunteers at a no-kill shelter, C.A.R.E.      She has a huge heart!!          So when I told her I had a towel, and a blankie to give her, she was thrilled!!         And she drove all the way over to my house from Apollo Beach to get them!        JK!!

Actually, she was coming to DD1’s Norwex party, and I happened to remember them before she left!!             Yay!

She also cares for a feral cat colony, at her home.        She tirelessly feeds them, then traps as many as she can.        Out of her own pocket, she takes them to the vet, to get them healthy, then she spays or neuters them.
