Friendly Frontier

YAY!!     I think I’ve solved my no internet problem!

Bright House became Spectrum, and raised their rate $20.     Well, that left me out in the cold, since I’m paying off my credit cards.

slob, humor, sad face

THEN!  I saw a Frontier truck in the neighbor’s driveway, and inspiration struck!      It was like lightening!

slob, humor, truck       I got all excited!     So, I called them up, found out it was only $46 a month, only $6 more, instead of $20!!!        A big woo hoo there!!

So, I asked XH, to pay over the phone, and gave him the $46.     I was ecstatic!!           Home internet in T-7 days and counting!!

That was on Tuesday.

Then on Monday, I get a letter in the mail.       From Frontier.

Not looking good here.

It was worse than not good- it was horrible news!      They said my credit wasn’t good enough to have service without a deposit, so they couldn’t serve me.        What in the world was the $46, that I had already paid, which the guy TOLD me was a deposit???

slob, humor, what???? face

I’m mad now.

slob, humor, " I'm mad now" face    (Can ya tell???)

So, I called and finally got a real live person.        No, I didn’t unleash on her.        I just asked for an explanation, of the contradictory info.

Her answer was, “Not enough signal strength” in my area.       Uh, huh.          And why then was I signed up for service, and charged on XH’s credit card???

She apologized several times.       But all that hot air didn’t get me internet.

So, now here I sit here at SF’s, stewing in my own juices.          (Trust me, it’s not a pretty picture.)

Frontier is not so friendly now.

Silly Soap

Nope, it wasn’t the soap that was silly, it was me.  Shock, shock, right??

Remember last year when I was pontificating about being too old to use broken, ugly stuff??

Well, then what was the justification for this???

used soap bottle

Fancy dancy soap dispenser, order yours now!

Um, straight up laziness, is all I can plead.  No excuses, especially since I’m even older than when I wrote that!

Even worse, look at the counter.  Shameful, shame I say.

messy bathroom counter

Shock and horror that a slob would have a mess!

And nobody to blame but myself.   So annoying!   Sometimes, I regret living alone!  At least when 1 other person lived with me, I could always delude myself that everything was their fault!  (Even when it wasn’t, as was usually the case, if I have to be honest.)

There, now isn’t that better??

lavender soap dispenser

Ah! Lavender, my love!

And it took all of maybe 60 seconds to pour the soap in it, and throw away recycle the bottle.  Take that, laziness!

I even took a few extra seconds, to wipe down the counter and throw away the bowl.  (Yes, it’s been sitting there for over a month, and…..?  The point is, it’s gone now.  Just be happy.)

clean bath counter

So, so pretty!  Thank you, Jeanette, my neighbor for the lovely lavender soap dispenser.  (She doesn’t even like purple, of any shade.  GASP!  I know!  I feel sorry for her too!)

RULES:

* Thank the giver and link their blog to your post.
* Answer the 10 questions given to you.

* Pass the award on to 7 other bloggers of their choice and let them know that they have been nominated.

* Include the logo of the award in a post or on your blog.

Here they are:

1. On the bad days, how do you cheer yourself up?

A- Singing hymns, and Scripture songs always helps.  Also, talking to my brother!

2. Which is your favourite food?
A- It used to be bread, any kind.  Now that I’m gluten free, I’m really beginning to enjoy fresh vegetables more.

3. How do you let go?
A- Read a novel, or color a picture.

4. How much do you value ‘silence’?
A- So, so much!  My house is finally quiet after many years, and I just sit, soaking it in.

5. Will you hurt someone intentionally or lie to make them feel better?
A-  No, I don’t intentionally hurt people.  Sometimes I do, because I often speak before I think.  Trying to work on that bad habit.

6. Do you have faith in humanity? why or why not?
A- No, not really.  I know humanity is fallen, from Adam and Eve sinning.  Our only hope is through Jesus Christ, and His atoning blood.

7. One thing you really wish could come true?
A- To have an air conditioned vehicle again!  I live in Florida, and I melt every time I have to drive.

8. If you had to sum up your life in 10 or less words, what would they be?
A- A sinner saved by grace.  Love my girls, and family.

9. How do you express anger?
A- Too often, by sleeping.

10. What is the one thing that will turn you completely off about a person?
A- Bad grammar.  When I was in 8th grade, I red lined all my boyfriend’s love letters, and sent them back to him for correction.  What a word snob!
