I’m Dreaming of a Purple Christmas

Did you hear the music?  Yeah, yeah, I know it’s supposed to be “White” Christmas, but this is my world!  And it’s purple all the time!!  Real life is purple for me, no matter the occasion.

Why am I already decorating for Christmas? Because I’m having the First Christmas Party of the year on Saturday!  (I don’t like to fight the crowds! )

I put up the lights around 1 door frame, so far.  Then I had to rest.  (Because of that whole recovery thing, remember??)

I want to put them all around my windows, but I only have 3 70 light strings.  (that was how many was left on clearance after Halloween.  Why would I pay full price before??)  So probably only the big window will get the lights.  Oh well, that will be good enough.  If I can even get those up.  I tried, and couldn’t do it.  And only 1 1/2 strings lit up.  What’s that about??

Then, on to the baubles,and beads.  Ornaments, if you insist.

Just happens to be my middle name. (Could that be why I love it???)

Now that my living room is all decked out for Christmas, I’m ready to PAR-TAY!!

Saga of the Sad Bare Windows

Once upon a time, there were 2 sad, bare windows.

The light shone dimly through them.  The dark seeped through them.  They knew they were not fulfilling their true beautiful potential.

One day a seamstress came to visit,

 

and noticed how sad they were.  She exclaimed, “Oh, windows!  I see how sad you are, I’m here to help.”

The windows were so excited, they sparkled happily.

So, the seamstress sat down and sewed all night.  In the morning, the windows were dressed in gorgeous Purple cafe curtains.

The windows were so happy to have the gorgeous Purple skirts that they sparkled and shone so brightly that the seamstress had to wear shades.

Looking for the light of my life

Isn’t my chandelier gorgeous?

Wait, what? You don’t see it?  C’mon now, all true believers will be able to see it.  Now, do you see it?  It’s the same color as the Emperor’s New Clothes.

This is serious, folks, I’m desperately seeking illumination on the situation.  So I’ve decided to post a Light Wanted ad.

Me: Empty Light socket seeking the one who completes me, for long term committed relationship.

You: Full figured crystal chandelier, any height, any age, as long as you’re legal to leave your factory.  Color of metal doesn’t matter.  Must love shining down on romantic dinners, sparkling in the sunlight, and wanting to have many small light bulbs in the future.
