Tiny Teal Table

Authoress51 was worried that I had run outta material.     No, just money!!     I have bought my own dot com, but can’t get it working yet.      And I’m out of storage here on the WP free plan…..     So, until I can get something worked out, I have to recycle.        This is a new post, because I had already loaded the one pic.     I had 3 more, that I wanted to add, but can’t.  😦       I hate publishing posts without pix!!       Thanks for the concern, Authoress!

Well, it definitely is tiny.        And certainly a table.      The teal part, eh, not so much.       But, it is blue!        Which teal is a kind of…..

When I lived in the trailer, PPJr , oops!   ChunkChunk, was in her high chair, and PP sat at the tiny, teal table, and the grown ups used TV trays.           Since CC has outgrown her high chair, she now sits at on a stool, at the dining room table, alongside PP.         S0 now we had no more use for the ttt.

DD1 decided it would make a great plant stand, and out to the porch it went.        That worked for awhile.

Then, it was time for a switch up.       The plants went elsewhere, and the tiny teal table…..

Was left lonely, littered with leaves.       (And plant stakes.)

Littered with leaves, and plant stakes.

And DD1 decided it was no longer needed in our home, due to its poor condition!       The corners were the worse for wear, and the babies had decided it was too fluffy, and had been pulling the stuffing out, stealthily, for some time.

(Look in the top left corner, really closely!)

Pop was the pall bearer, for the disposal of the body.       Thanks, Pop.        He is so dignified and respectful.

You served us well, tiny, teal table.

Tale of Two Tables, Two

I have 2 tables. (Which I totally did on purpose.)  The glass top one I inherited with My New Place, (as opposed to My Newest New Place!).

dinette chairs

And the white fold down one, I bought from DD1, specifically for this house.

(Please ignore the Valentine’s Day leftover tablecloth.  This is all about the TABLE!)

1 had to go according to Nony’s 1 in 1 out rule.

Can you believe I got rid of the one that I had already painted 2 of the chairs purple??   The table was too big for the space.  And PP and I kept tripping over those gorgeous legs,

So horribly mean, reaching out those gorgeous curls to trip the unwary!

at the other house.   So…… buh bye!   My friend, Kimberorangely, who took it didn’t want the chairs.  But their day will come.  Be afraid, chairs. Be very afraid.  I’m a known killer.

Funny story.  When I saw the posting on Freecycle, wanting a table, I didn’t think anything of it. I just responded that I had a table.  When my friend, Kimberorangely called and said, “Is this you?”  I answered, “Yes! Is this you??”  We thought it was hysterical that neither one of us recognized each other’s names!  (To be fair, hers was initials, with her last name.   It’s a VERY common one too!  And yes, Kimberorangely is not her real name.  But, she likes orange, and my name is Purplelinda, so what could I do??)

So, I just need 1 more tiny table, to put the modem on, before I can move the other table into it’s proper position.

Hey, I have a tiny table!

PP's tiny table

PP’s tiny table

Oh yeah, right!!  that would last all of 2 seconds!  As soon as PP walked in the door, she’d screech “MINE!!”  And that’d be all she wrote.  Poor modem would be in smithereens on the floor, I’d be out of Internet, and the world would end.    <sigh>

So, yeah, that ain’t happenin!

So…. still in need of 1 tiny table….   Any ideas??   Anybody??

Crickets…….                             <sigh>

Aha!  Thank goodness for Sweet Friend!   He’s my idea man!  When he came to visit last night, I was on the computer, (in my Office!) and when I walked out into the dining room, this is what I saw!

Brilliant!!

The only thing I had to do was decorate!   Thanks, Sweet Friend!  You’re the bestest Sweet Friend I have!

So, Sew Sew

So, you know my old machine, sewing that is.  {I’m hearing the “Beverly Hills Hillbillys ” theme music right there.}

Not changed at all

And, it was on top of an old brown sewing machine table, that my Sis found on the side of the road.  And I was so happy that she thought of me, and got it!   Because formerly, I was sewing on the dining room table.

And when that went away, I was seriously hurting for a sewing table!   Sis to the rescue!!    Thanks, Michelle!!

Anyway, when I moved here to this newest “new” place, there was a white table, that looked like a sewing table, but I didn’t pay it any mind.   But then Mama got curious, and opened.   What to her wondering eyes should appear, but another sewing machine!!   I couldn’t believe it!   Around every corner, it seems, I find more stuff the former owner left.    I am BLESSED!!

(The furniture, all the Christmas stuff, a TENS unit {not sure if I’m spelling that right, too lazy to check it.}, clothes, canning jars, and now this!!)

And the chair was here too.

So, sew sew!   (like “Mush, mush!” to the huskies!!)

I feel like the lady paid me to buy this place, almost!!
