MY newest new place!

Finally!  After OVER a month!  Here are the pix of my newest new place!  Just the outside, though.

2 plants front of trailer

Part of my “Front” garden.

Purple Passion Plants!

Purple Flower

Or wandering Jew, as my SIL calls them.

And yes, that’s the official name. lol  According to me.  It is also the sole occupant of my “Side Garden.”

Those last 2 plants are the 2 I most wanted in my other garden, but never went to the actual trouble of getting any!!  Then, God gave them to me here in my newest home!!  God is so good, all the time!!  He cares about me, and my life, even tiny little details, like what plants I like!

Still working on inside!!  I had the living room, kitchen/dining room party ready for Christmas Eve, but you know what happened 2 days later… yeah, slobbery overran the place.  😦   (Don’t ya love how I blamed the slobbery, instead of myself????)

Anyhoo, back to the pix:

Front views:

Flag still flying high!

Front.

Yeah, the recycling can doesn’t look the best there, does it??   sigh   Yet another sign of my laziness.

carport

The carport- duh! there’s Captain Obvious again!

Right side:

 Notice the central air unit!!

See that scraggedy bush?  That’s the right side of my “Front Garden”.   It’s a yellow rose bush, which can’t be proven by it now!   But I was excited to see it, because it was Granny’s favorite flower!

I didn’t take a pic of the butterfly sculpture over the carport, because it has already worn out it’s welcome, by just existing!!

Boy, am I cranky or what???

I didn’t take any back views, because who wants to see more moldy siding???   Oh, wait, there’s a hand in the back.  “Hi, there. Yes, you, in the multi striped shirt.  You want to see more moldy siding???   Ok, just scroll back up and re-look at those pix there!   Thanks!”

Inside pix to come at a later, undetermined date, when I have the rooms back to non-disaster status.   {Please don’t hold your breath.  Not responsible for any fainting you may incur.}

There you go- Home Sweet Home. Again!  Hopefully Forever this time!  [But not gonna say “Never  Moving Again!!  Because that is the surest way in the world to ensure that I’d be moving again shortly.  Not.Gonna.Happen.]

I MEAN IT!!

“Doggy Did Dit.”

(Title quote credit to PP.)

It was the best of days, it was the worst of days.  Why?  Well, let me just entertain you with my pain.

I went to help my Sister clear the way for new furniture. Yay new furniture!  Everything was humming along, but I was getting tired.

As I went thru the dining room, suddenly her dog decided that he needed to occupy the EXACT SAME SPACE as ME, THAT SECOND!  AS you know from my pix, there is NOT a thigh gap between my legs!  Not even a tiny one.  And her dog isn’t tiny!  Did I mention he’s a HUGE 100 pound Rottweiler??  (He thinks he’s still a puppy lap dog, too!)  So, as you might expect, I hit the deck.  Not with an exclamation of joy, either.

rottweiler

Not actually Ranger.

So, as I lay there, stunned, my sister is frantically checking me out.

“Can you hear me??  How many fingers am I holding up??  Are you bleeding??”

Yes, I can hear you loud and clear- you’re shouting in my ear!  And, I’d be able to see better if your fingers weren’t in my eyes!

JK, she was not shouting, and not poking me in the eye either.  But it sounds funnier than the truth.

Thank God, I was not broken, or bleeding.  I did give myself a good jolt, and some pretty purple bruises will be blooming tomorrow, I feel confident!  And, oh- how I wanted to kick that dog!!

But how can you be mean to him, when he just looks up at you so adoringly and says, “Hey, that game was fun, let’s do it again!!”

WANTED: fabric, fabric, sewing notions & yarn

Would like any of your stock pile of old, ugly prints. Trying to make
variety of things. Dolls, guilts, throw pillows etc

Tiny prick of conscience. I have more than I’ll ever need.

Stupid minimalist and cleaning blogs. Making me feel guilty.

I’m not a hoarder, I’m a seamstress!   I just have a sorta huge stash.

My Fabric Stash

My Fabric Stash

Oh, alright!  I contacted the person, okay?

Now I need to sort, and purge what I’m willing to give up.

Do you see my nail marks, where I’m holding on for dear life??

Keeping a tight grip

Keeping a tight grip

Somethings are easier to get rid of than others.

Fabric is just so full of possibilities!  I can make it into any thing I want!  I can be artistic!  It’s one of my treasures!

But, if it sits there until doomsday, what have I really accomplished?  So, gonna give it up…

Not all of it, of course.  You think I turned “cleanie” over night?  Au contrair mon cherie!  {If I didn’t spell that right, sorry!  I left my French dictionary at the store.}

Will proceed to sorting…..

Update:  Patience came and I let go of A LOT of stuff.  She was such a sweet lady, I kept handing her more and more!  And after she left, I didn’t regret a thing!  (Except not getting a pic of all the material going out the door.)

Que sera, sera.
