Angel Angle

We had an ornament exchange at our Women’s Christmas Extravaganza, at Harvest Church, Tuesday, Dec. 13th.

slob, humor, family    Mama was my guest, Jaime was her guest!      Kristen missed the photo op.

Mama went up to get mine, and of course, I reminded her to get a purple one!      AS if you had to, she is your mother, Melinda!      True!   What was I thinking??

   Purple Enough, I guess…

I peeked at mine, then re-wrapped it for PP to “open”.    (Thankfully it was in a gift bag!) She was sooo excited to finally get to open a present!     She has been hopefully asking every day, “My pwesent??”     So far, the answer had been “No” every time.       YAY for being able to make her day!!

slob, humor, angel ornament       She was thrilled to see this gorgeous angel!!       We had hangers out, and ready.      Carefully she hung it on the tree.

Speaking of tree, she decorated it all by herself!!        Quite an eye for symmetry she has!!

And speaking of angels, this is our “angel” tree topper.

PP picked it out herself (what? you thought I did it??).  Pop gently lifted her up, and she placed it oh so carefully.

Isn’t she a pretty, pretty princess??            LOL

PP thinks so, and that’s all that matters!

But what are we gonna do next year, when PPJr wants to “help”??        I guess buy double the number of cheap plastic ornaments!!       My glass ones are gonna have to wait several more years, before THEY reappear!

Mighty Mite

PP (my 2 year old grand daughter) is a Mighty Mite!  Last week, she saw all the “pwesents” in her room, and kept bringing them to the tree, as many as she could load in her arms, at once!   “Heaby”, she’d say.

Such a good helper!   Then, Christmas morning, after we gathered up all the trash, which she helped with, she carried 2 bags of trash out!!  Not at once, but it wasn’t for lack of trying!!  That really was too “heaby”, even for her super strength!!

And there it sits to this day, (Saturday 26th).  Let’s hope since Monday is trash day, that’ll be gone by then!!  {Hope springs eternal!}

I love that baby!!

pink new born baby

Sweetest thing on earth!

Unfortunately, not the real PP.  DD1 has a “No web exposure” rule.  And after hearing some scary stories, I abide by it.  Even though I’d LOVE to show her to y’all!!   She is really is the prettiest baby on earth!!   Not that I’m prejudiced at all!!

She will always be first in my heart, since she’s the first grand.  That doesn’t mean I won’t love PP Jr just as much when s/he gets here in April!!

Merry “Christ”mas

Merry Christmas to all!!

Here is what Christmas is all about:

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Savior which is Christ the Lord.”     Luke 2:11   New Testament   Holy Bible

Everything else is just fluff.  Fun fluff!  But just fluff.

Enjoy your Christmas time, and I hope you celebrate Jesus Christ the Lord.

This pretty tree is from my friend, Thumbup.  Thanks, Thumbup!

What is it???

Glance at this picture, then look away quickly.

What was your first impression?

Brother and I both thought it looks like a Christmas tree covered in lights.  Look again.  Can you see it?

Have you figured out what it really is?

Yup, a pile of dirty laundry!  Isn’t that funny?

The “lights” are white polka dots on my pajamas.

How could it have fallen been thrown into such a perfect tree shape?

And yes, I did clean it up, and go wash them! Yay for me.

Here’s the proof.

20150403_111709Of course, that was 3 days ago, so…..

I woke up, and BAM! I’m having a purple Christmas!

Now, to show you the REST of my Purple Christmas story.

You’re already seen my Joy,  and my Star,

Just happens to be my middle name. (Could that be why I love it???)

I'm a star!

I’m a star!

And my Nativity.

And my window lights.

Sparkly! Purple!

Now, feast your eyes on my Purple Tree!

(Sorry the pic is so dark.  I need to improve my photography skills. )

Here is my big tree:

It blinks on, one section at a time. I don’t like that, but since it was a loaner tree, I didn’t fuss!  And not really even a big tree, since it’s only 4 ‘ 1/2″ tall!

I’m in love with the purple poinsettia as the tree topper.

And the 1 purple Christmas card I received:

I guess the other 2 card senders didn’t receive the purple memo!

And my Shiny Grape Wreath!  It’s on the back of the closet door, in the kitchen/entry hall.

I made it myself!

I made it myself!

(Did you notice I used the grape clusters to cover up the gap in the purple tinsel? Oh, you didn’t? Oopsie! Should have kept my big mouth shut!)

And the random Purple Ornaments, stuck to the walls.

And there you have it, my purple Christmas.

Sure hope I get some purple presents!

Update: I did! 2 in fact. Yay!
