Lucy,
How do you think of these stuff ? Had me rolling in my chair ?
On a serious note, is old fashioned oats, better than steel cut oats ? What is the difference ? Does it take a longer time to cook as compared to white oats or steel cut oats ? And milk- no milk ? Why salt ?

Susie, I truly don’t know! It just spits outta my brain! I’m so happy it made you laugh!!
Uh, I don’t know! What are white oats? I microwave them 1 1/2 minutes, just like the packet oatmeal. I don’t add milk, because they are a tad soupy. And used to I added butter, but trying to cut down. Can’t give up the sugar, tho!!

white oats are quick cooking oats- no fiber, very easy to cook, microwaveable and so on. Not very healthy or tasty.

Don’t they have instant oats in the US? 🙂 Just had an email about your latest post – I clicked on it and got a ‘page not found’ message. Could be something at my end but maybe you should check. Back to the oats – I mean seriously, you are like a top chef compared to me. 🙂

Hello Melinda – well no, not really done with it 😕. We are gradually pulling back but it’s difficult. Hopefully very soon – like maybe in a few days – fingers crossed. The post was called 7 seconds #3 (or something similar) – just clicked the link in the email again and got the same thing.
