Numbered Names

What number of names can I use in 1 post?   I’m thinking eleventy dozen…

set of numbers very young

“Very Young”- that’s me! Hey, they didn’t specify that it had to be your Chronological age!!

Jenny, I think it’s unremarkable how your kids file away numbers.   If we all band together, and use the number eleventy in the episodes of our daily life, it becomes a legit word, right, Edwina??

My BBFF Janice mostly writes about blogging. I’ve learned a number of helpful things from her.

Sarah Eliza devastates boredom on a daily basis.   How many of y’all can say that???

Claremary putters around the barn.  Hey, can you send ZuZu to find me a number of mice?  Thanks!

Himali spends her time decoding happiness.   I’m glad she does it, not me!   Happiness eludes me in a number of ways!

Susie is shy 45% of her days.   But, I managed to draw her out of her shell a number of times!

Roopam is whimsical 90 % of the time.  Lovely!

Sherri has a great view from  her summerhouse.   You can see any number of excellent vistas!

Carol was retired, but no one told her!   What a number they did on her!!

Carmen is always fashionable, even over 50 years!   I can always find any number of cute outfit suggestions on her blog.

Ralph put indigo in his water.   Now he’s in trouble!  Apparently a number of blue fish have way too much indigo in them!

Teagan has written a number of books.

Whew!  I’m tired from the sheer number of names I crammed in 1 post!!   If you didn’t appear, never fear!   I have a number of names left to drop!  And many more posts to write!

(PS: It is with a great sense of accomplishment that I announce, I used the word “number” 15 times in this post!!   Oops!  I forgot to count the one in quotes there!  -16!   And I dropped 13 names!!   YAY ME!!!!)

{If you only counted 13 times, hint- look at the pix.}

Pearly’s Post

Pearly nominated me for a Blogger Recognition Award!

Thanks, Pearly!

☆THE RULES

1. Thank whoever nominated you and include a link to their blog.

2. Write a post and give a brief story of how your blog started.

3. Give a piece of advice or two to new bloggers.

4.Select 15 other blogs you want to give the award to.

5.Let the nominees know you have nominated them and provide a link to the nomination details.

Okay, #1-done    #2- gonna do that little thing right now.

I have been a life long slob.  And I was SICK of it!  I’d been reading cleaning, organizing, and purging blogs.  Kristen, from RoadtoDomestication was the first one I read, since she’s a personal friend.

It is great!  But, she’s naturally organized, and I’m not, so nothing changed.  Then I found Nony, from ASlobComesClean.

And she’s a self admitted slob!  I had found my people!!

So, I determined to take control of my life, one dust bunny at a time.  I started my blog Aug. was a year ago.  Everyday I’d do something, no matter how small, and document it in writing, and pix.  My first post, First Day, was the beginning.

me big girl

Me at 344 lbs. Yep, I was a BIG girl!

Now I’m an experienced blogger with a lot less junk in my life, who has improved health, as well.  My life is so satisfying now.

#3, Advice.

Hmmm, I don’t really feel qualified to give advice, just tell you what worked for me.  Figure out what you want to say.  It has to be important to you, or you’ll lose interest.  Then, start saying it!!  And proofread, proofread, proofread!  I re-read my posts multiple times before I publish, and still mistakes make it thru.  That’s so embarrassing for a Grammar Nazi!!!

#4, 15 other blogs.  That I can do easily!  I know so many wonderful bloggers, just choosing 15 will be the hard part!

Thank you soooo much, Neerja!  You are a sweet doll!

She said she nominated me:

“For having such a wonderful name for her blog and help us to recover from our every day’s tidbit problems.”    🙂

Thank you so much, NJ.  That’s wonderful to hear that I help people.

Yeah, baby!  I’m so excited, I’m beaming all over the place!

Drat that glare!

Drat that glare!

Yes, I'm aware my earrings aren't purple. But, Mama gave 'em to me.

Yes, I’m aware my earrings aren’t purple. But, Mama gave ’em to me.

(Didya feel the heat wave from where you are???)

Back to Neerja:

“And my question is:

Do you believe in destiny and if yes then tell us about your one moment that made you believe in it.

The Rules for this award are:

1) Thank the person who nominated you.
2) Answer the question from the person who has nominated you.
3) Nominate some other bloggers for this award.
4) Write the same amount of questions for the bloggers you have nominated.
5) Notify the bloggers you have nominated.”

Hmmmm, okay, here goes;  No, I don’t believe in destiny, as I believe God directs us.  He has plans for our lives.  “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for welfare (good), and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”  Jeremiah 29:11  (Old Testament, Holy Bible, Revised Standard Version)

WE have free will, so we can choose whether to follow His plan for our life, living for Jesus, or we can reject God’s plan.  Rejecting God’s plan always leads to sorrow.  If you read the Strawberry Girl series,

you know some of the heartaches I caused myself by doing wrong, (SIN).  Once I turned back to God, and His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, and began following Him again, my life improved.  Following God does NOT guarantee a problem free life!

But, He promises to be with us, in the middle of our problems, always by our side.  Trust me, I’ve done life both ways, with and without God.  I am NOT going back to my old life without Him!!

My nominees are:

James

Joel

Himali

Claremary

My question is:       What is the one moment in your life that shines the brightest in your memory?

Shine on for Jesus!!
