I’m Goldilocks.
{Okay, yeah, I know my hair isn’t gold. And I don’t have any locks, just stubble.}
But, this is my story, and I’m sticking to it.
I’m looking for the perfect chair gardening stool.
First I tried Papa Bear’s Chair. (PP’s kitchen seat.)

Too hard!
Too hard tall!! (I know!! How could anything be too tall for me??) I almost fell off of it, when I tried leaning over to weed. Not good!
Then I tried Mama Bear’s chair. (PP’s dish washing stool.)

Too soft!
Too soft short!! (I couldn’t get up without help, too short!)
Now I’m looking around for Baby Bear’s chair, ya know the one that will be just right??? And I don’t see it anywhere!!
PP is fresh outta more stools. Whatever am I gonna do??
Another 8 house post. Brought to you by Goldilocks, and The Three Bears.
There is a nifty little item on the market, a bench that you can either sit on (has handles for the unsteady to stand up with) or you can flip it over and kneel on it. Handles again. I bought one thinking I’d be the weeding QUEEN and have yet to use it. I noticed (after purchase) that it only supports someone of 200 lbs or less….um. I’m not a LOT heavier than that, but the term “fallen and can’t get up” was coined for folks like me. And I can’t kneel down any more – my replaced knee screams at me until I get OFF it and stand up or stagger and find a seat. So I wish you could have it, because it sits, forlorn and dusty in my garage. But I BET you could find one on Amazon or something like that for cheap. They are truly amazing.

That sounded perfect, Embeecee, until you got to the under 200 lbs part. I’m almost twice that! And I have fallen, and couldn’t get up too many times already!! And I have a replaced knee too!! Other people say theirs is better than ever- mine is not! Thanks so much for the thought!

wish I could help, but I don’t garden. I wouldn’t even know what to look for.

Thanks, P. I don’t really garden either. But the parts of the flower beds that I did weed, sure do look better!

Have a stool fair! It could be made fun like a party. Have all your friends bring by their step stools. The one that “wins” gets stuff out of the garden. Win-win.

Hi! I know this is kinda off topic however I’d figured I’d ask. Would you be interested in exchanging links or maybe guest writing a blog post or vice-versa? My site covers a lot of the same topics as yours and I feel we could greatly benefit from each other. If you might be interested feel free to shoot me an e-mail. I look forward to hearing from you! Awesome blog by the way!
