Willow Wonders

My friend, Momma, posted  “Willows-got-questions.”    When I commented on it, she challenged me to answer them too.

So, here goes.   Willow wonders:

1.Does jet-lag affect you?

BIG time!!   Usually I recover by the 3rd day.   Hopefully, I didn’t have to leave on the 2nd day!

2.Are you afraid to walk alone at night?

Nope!   Never have been!    By myself, that is!   I would not be so brave, if I had to take my grand kids with me!

3.How did it make you feel the first time you ever held a baby in your arms — yours or someone else’s?

At almost 3, I picked up my newborn brother, walked across the room, and sat down in my little rocking chair.   My heart nearly burst with love for him.   And awe that he was real, not just a doll!

4.Do you fold your undergarments and socks?

Mercy, NO!!   The only time my undies have been folded, (since I left my Mama’s house) is when DD1 “kon-maried” me.

I was paying her to fold my clothes, and put them away, so of course she took the L O N G way home!

5.Is there a specific place where you go to think? where is it and why there?

Not on purpose, but apparently it’s bed.   When I’m trying to go to sleep, I always think of great blog posts, clever retorts to conversations days ago….

6.How many houseplants do you have? How are they faring? 

Um, I’m on the National “Do NOT Let Her Have Houseplants” List, so I have none.    And believe me, they’re ALL much better off!

7.Do you have a garden — flower or vegetable? 

Yes!  I’m allowed to have outside plants, per my probation.    And since God waters them, I’m happy to say I haven’t killed a one!  Yet!    (Although, the Jasmine’s neck is on the chopping block…)

8.How many hats do you own? Do you wear them all?

Virtual??  Or physical??

Physical hats, I have 1 purple knitted winter hat.  Sure!   I wear it during the 8.7 hours of winter here!   (when I can find it, that is.)

9.Does your best friend call you their best friend?

Depends on which best friend you mean??   My Blogging Best Friend Forever Janice, Better known as BBFFJ, certainly calls me her BBFF, too.

10.Do you struggle to finish a bad book or do you set it aside forever? 

I have struggled thru a few.  And once or twice, I have even *gasp* set them aside forever.   But, they have to be REALLY horrible before I would go to such an extreme measure with a book!

11.Have you ever been in a food fight?

AS in, who gets the last piece of chicken??   Many times!!

12.Have you ever brought a stray animal home?

Do boyfriends count??   Lol   No, I hated animals, until I fell in love with my Emily, when I was in my 30s.    She was a tiny 8 week old Cock-apoo.

13.Can a well-written book make you care about their characters enough to cry for them?

Of course!   They’re real people too!

14.How do you deliver bad news?

From behind a catcher’s mask!    Just kidding.   I had to tell my 2 nieces their dad died, and I just hugged them tight, and gently said it.   Then kept hugging them, as long as they wanted to be held.

15.In general, how do you feel when you come home from a long vacation?

So thrilled to be home, I say “I’m never leaving home again!”   Then, I go jump in bed, because I’m so tired.
